The Tullahoma Wildcats (1-1, 8-6) opened the second half of the 2009-2010 season with a disappointing 61-51 loss to non-district foe Marshall Co. on Tuesday, Jan. 5 in Lewisburg.
Tullahoma will next turn its attention to District 8-AAA action when it is scheduled to host league-leading Lawrence Co. (2-0, 13-1) on Friday, Jan. 8.
Tullahoma fought Marshall Co. close for three quarters but the home team took advantage of the 'Cats' desperation fouling near the end to pull away and create the final 10-point margin.
Lawrence Co. has been the dominant team so far this season and is led by leading scorer Kyle Brink, who has averaged 13.1 points per game and hit a league-high 33 three-point shots. Lawrence Co. averages 67 points per game while giving up only 48 per contest.
Tullahoma averages 55 points per contest while allowing 54. The Wildcats are led in scoring by Chad Rusk, averaging 16.8 points per game. |
